Family Session {Winnipeg Family Photographer}

Last month I met up with this family that just happens to not only be good friends but neighbours on my street.  It was so nice to have them ask me to capture their family photos this year.  I’ve watched these kids grow up along side my girls and I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone.  We met one gorgeous afternoon in the Exchange district and had a nice time walking around and taking photos.  Love how this session turned out.  I love the Exchange for families with older kids — there are so many great spots to use.

It was nice to see this family again to update their family pictures.  I saw them last year while they were expecting their third child so it was great to meet the little man behind the bump.  We met at Assiniboine Park on one of these gorgeous Fall evenings.

The English Garden at Assiniboine Park was the backdrop for this gorgeous family photo session.  I have loved photographing this family ever year and catching up on what’s been going on their lives.  Their children are all so well behaved and engaging and always a pleasure to photograph.  The colour palette looks lovely with the beautiful colours in the garden this time of year.   And every year the kids look forward to their silly face picture that I take — from what Mom tells me I think they practice all year long and they seem to really love it when I tell them it’s time for “that” picture.  I love to try and make it fun for the kids and capture the silliness that is kids at this age :)

Family Session {Winnipeg family photographer}

Last year this family contacted me to do their photos but unfortunately I was completely booked up and couldn’t fit them in for a Fall session.  Luckily this year I still had a spot and we decided to meet at the Trappist Monastery Ruins in St. Norbert one evening.  They had never been there and we had a nice time exploring and checking out all the great photo op spots on the grounds.  I LOVE how their session turned out.

I met this family last month one morning at a little park close to their home that they frequent.  I always like it when clients make suggestions for location, especially when it holds some meaning for them.  I hope when their children are older and no longer going to the park to play on the playstructure and swing with Mom and Dad, that seeing this images will bring back a flood of good memories to this special, busy time when the kids are young.  Always so nice to see this family every year and when I see how big J is I can’t believe that he was my very first newborn that I photographed 6 years ago!

One year and a family {Winnipeg family photographer}

I have photographed this family so many times I think I have lost count!  I met them a few years ago as they were expecting their first child and I’ve been there to document her milestones and then the next addition to the family and her milestones.  I consider it a great honour that they keep coming back.  I love watching all my families grow and watching the children change through the years.  We met at Assiniboine Park for a morning session at the English Garden and then came back to the studio for a cake smash later in the day.  Little Miss M was all smiles until she was presented with the beautiful cake decorated lovingly by her Dad.  I love watching all my one year olds during their cake smashes, and I especially love when they tell us they are done!

It’s always so nice to see this family every year as they update their family photos.  I consider it an honour to be contacted every year with so many of my families and I love watching them go from expecting their first child all the way to adding 2 or 3 children to their lives.  We met at a local park and then back to my home studio for a cake smash to celebrate as their little guy turns one.

I photographed these twins when they were newborns and it’s always so nice to update their family photos every year.  I love watching all the children I photograph grow and change over the years from little tiny newborns to funny little kids :)
