Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing women I have had the pleasure of working with so far this year!

Little Emma {Winnipeg baby photographer}

Little Emma made her grand entrance in to the world and due to various circumstances, she wasn’t able to have her newborn session until she was one month old.  At one month she was definitely not interested in having her photos done.  She was only content in Mom’s arms cuddling or eating.  We did manage to put her down a few times but she was such a light sleeper we didn’t try and pose her too much since she woke up almost every time we touched her.  Kelly was such a trooper cuddling and feeding and soothing.  Hopefully after all the excitement of the photo session she was exhausted enough to sleep through the night and give Mom a well deserved rest after her marathon session.

6 month old cuteness

I met this couple in the summer when they were expecting their daughter.  Then I had the pleasure of taking photos for them when she was just a sweet little newborn.  Now here she is 6 months old already!  Can’t believe how much she has changed.  It was so nice to see little Miss K again and see how she has grown in to such a sweet little girl.  She was so happy and wasn’t fazed at all with all the outfit changes.  Her favourite was the tutu and the beads – I’d say she’s gonna be a girly girl. :)

Winter Fun {Winnipeg family photographer}

I met this family this morning at the park for a fun family session.  I’ve known Cindy for a couple of years now – she is the owner of Dress Up and Play Parties.  I met her when we had a fairy party for my daughter’s 4th birthday.  I’ve been working with her over the past year at some of her parties taking pictures for her website, and I consider her a friend now.  I was so happy this morning to see the beautiful weather outside and thoroughly enjoyed spending the morning with them.  Her 2 boys are so spirited and full of energy and were fantastic to work with.  They helped set up each scene and had so many great ideas.  I love when the kids are involved and excited to be a part of the process.  I think they had fun and it shows in the great photos we were able to get.  Enjoy your sneak peek.

Christmas Cards

This card has had the colours altered to co-ordinate with the clothing.  More traditional Christmas colours are also available.

Babies are such a nice way to start people

I met this family a couple of years ago when they contacted me to do maternity and newborn photos for their second child.  I was happy to receive another call this spring to book a maternity and newborn session as they were expecting their 3rd child.  It was so nice to go back and see how their children had grown over the last couple of years and so special to get to be a part of another special time in their lives.  They welcomed their second son in the middle of August and I loved having a chance to photograph a little boy again.  Seems this year I’ve had a run on girls!

Countdown to a Miracle {Winnipeg Maternity Photographer}

After getting rained out for our previous session with Jen and Walter, we rescheduled for what was supposed to be a beautiful day.  Of course, just as they arrived for their session the storm clouds rolled in and the rain began.  We persevered and did the shoot and as they left, the clouds lifted.  Go figure.  Jen tells me it rained buckets on her wedding day as well.  They are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child, and from what I heard it hasn’t been an easy road for them.  Now they are expecting their little miracle baby.  Can’t wait to see if it’s a girl or a boy.

Sweet baby girl Claire {Winnipeg Newborn Photographer}

I loved spending time with this couple a little over a month ago while doing their maternity photos.  I was glad to hear that little Claire arrived safe and sound and a little early.  I got to spend some time with this new family this week and take some photos of their little bundle at just one week of age.  Although she really made us all work hard for the shots since she really wasn’t interested in doing much else other than spending time with Mommy, she did give us little pockets of time to move through some poses.  Here’s your sneak peek.
