I had a fantastic time the other night meeting this couple for an outdoor maternity session. It has been a long time since I’ve had the chance to do an outdoor session – it’s so nice to be able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather. We had a gorgeous evening session at a park close by and I had a great time meeting K and S and their first furbaby, Bella. Thank you for letting me play around in the evening light and wading in to the tick infested forest and grass with me! I met this young family a couple of months ago for a maternity session and I was looking forward to meeting their latest addition to their family. They welcomed a little girl in to their busy household and now have added a little pink to their lives. Little Miss M fought the good fight and was not too happy to be having her pictures done. She gave us little moments of sleep but was a very light sleeper and didn’t like to be moved around at all. We still ended up with some sweet shots of her and even one with her big brothers.

I met this family on the weekend for a family maternity session. Mom really wanted to focus on family images and include little Miss B in most of the pictures. Of course, at 18 months, she had a completely different agenda. She was not in the least bit interested in having her picture taken. She did pose for a few but that’s about all she would give us. This first one cracks me up – wasn’t interested in posing but wanted to hang around while I was photographing Mom and Dad. She’s busy on her phone. Hopefully she is interested in posing with her new little sister in another couple of months!

This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting this family expecting their baby at the beginning of June. I had a nice time getting to know them and their Superhero son J. They had some fun ideas for pictures and wanted to incorporate the Superhero theme so we played a little at the end of our session. It was definitely a different type of maternity session for me! Cole kept us entertained with his antics. Can’t wait to meet their new baby in June!

I met another nice couple this weekend to capture some maternity photos during this special time in their lives. Shannon and Derek are looking forward to meeting their child at the end of next month and I’m looking forward to finding out if it’s a girl or a boy. What a wonderful surprise it will be!

I loved spending the day with this lovely couple who welcomed their first child just over a week ago. We had a fun maternity session while waiting for his arrival and it was nice to see them again after Mr. C’s safe arrival in to the world. He was a fantastic little baby and barely made a peep and didn’t object to being handled and posed. He was also one of the best newborn “smilers” I’ve had in quite a while. Check out their gorgeous family photo – how could that not make your day.

I had a session the other day and it was so much fun. I met her Mom in the early Fall for a maternity session and then we did a newborn session. It was so nice to see them again and see how much little Miss E has grown. She was so happy and smiled almost the entire time. She enjoyed all the outfit changes and seemed to be having a lot of fun. Look at that big smile!

I met a sweet family on the weekend to do pictures for their daughter who was 6 months old. She was so cute. She had no problem posing for pictures just wasn’t too interested in smiling until the last 5 minutes. Then we go a lot of cute toothless smiles.

I met this little 2 week old guy yesterday for his newborn session. There was a lot of waiting for him to settle since he really hated being undressed. It gave me and his big sister, Devon a chance to hang out and play some games and get to know each other a little. The waiting game was definitely worth it and once we got him toasty warm with the heater in the right spot he settled right to sleep and let me play around with some sweet poses. Mom e-mailed me later that evening to thank me for my patience – it’s totally worth it for the cute pics we got. Love the little bootie and cap set a family member made them – always fun to play with something new.
