Cake Smash {Winnipeg Baby Photographer}

I had the pleasure of doing another 1 year session which included a fun cake smash. I think I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again – I love cake smashes. It’s so much fun to watch the little ones have free reign on a cake all their own. Some are tentative at first and others just dive right in – some don’t like the feel of it and aren’t quite sure what to do, and others know exactly what to do and savour every minute of it. This little guy went straight to business and quickly demolished the cake – it didn’t stand a chance. It was so nice to see this family again. I’m always amazed at how quickly they go from being newborns to one year old. Here’s a link to his newborn session. Check out his great hair even back then – Mom says he’s already had 4 haircuts!

Cake Smash! {Winnipeg Child Photographer}

I love doing cake smashes and had a great time with this family on the weekend celebrating a one year old birthday for little Miss D. I have been honoured to do sessions with this family over the past few years and it really is great to get to go back through the years and watch them growing up. I’m always so amazed at how quickly the time flies between the sessions and can’t believe that J is already 3! Hard to believe that he was my first newborn session 3 years ago already. R and T, I had a great time with your family and acting silly trying to coax a smile out of D. She finally started to enjoy herself and loosen up once all that sugar kicked in!

Winter Fun {Winnipeg family photographer}

I met this family this morning at the park for a fun family session. I’ve known Cindy for a couple of years now – she is the owner of Dress Up and Play Parties. I met her when we had a fairy party for my daughter’s 4th birthday. I’ve been working with her over the past year at some of her parties taking pictures for her website, and I consider her a friend now. I was so happy this morning to see the beautiful weather outside and thoroughly enjoyed spending the morning with them. Her 2 boys are so spirited and full of energy and were fantastic to work with. They helped set up each scene and had so many great ideas. I love when the kids are involved and excited to be a part of the process. I think they had fun and it shows in the great photos we were able to get. Enjoy your sneak peek.

6 month old sweetness {Winnipeg baby photographer}

I had such a great 6 month session with this family this weekend. I met this wonderful couple in the Spring when S contacted me for a maternity session. I was so happy to meet their sweet little daughter a couple of months later and do her newborn pictures. I couldn’t believe that 6 months have already gone by and it was time for another session! Little Miss C was an absolute doll. So happy and easygoing and happy to wear whatever we dressed her in. I had a hard time picking some pics to show for a little sneak peek since there were so many really cute happy pictures of her. Here’s a glimpse in to our session.

Sisters {Winnipeg family photographer}

Saturday evening I met this family with these 2 sweet girls at the park. It was such a gorgeous night and we spent some time walking and exploring and playing in the leaves. Little Miss R loved playing in the leaves and since Miss K wasn’t quite as mobile as her sister she was content to sit in the leaves. As hard as we tried (and we all tried hard) – she was not in the least bit interested in cracking a smile. She was quite serious throughout the session. I sure she spent the rest of the evening smiling

The Best Things in life aren’t things {Winnipeg Family Photographer}

I really love heading outside on beautiful Winnipeg summer evenings to spend time capturing the spirit of young families through photography. This family was no exception. I was so happy when K asked me to take pictures of her young family. She is a mom to 2 busy little boys who kept us on our toes all evening. Big brother S was quite excited to show off his new wheels but the novelty of having his picture taken wore out quickly. Little Mr. K was such a happy little guy just content to hang out in the grass and play with the leaves. We did a little exploring around the park, looked for trolls under the bridge and finished off the evening watching the geese by the duck pond. I really loved the energy of these little guys and thoroughly enjoyed spending my time with you all. K and D you have a beautiful family.

Fun Family {Winnipeg family photographer}

I LOVED meeting this family and doing this session the other night. They wanted to get some pictures done at a park that they frequent with their daughter so we started off at the playground and then moved to another location for some more family shots. M was a little hesitant at first but quickly warmed up to the idea of having her pictures done and seemed to enjoy herself. I really enjoyed our session and hanging out with this family on such a gorgeous evening.
