Family photo session {Winnipeg family and child photographer}

It has been wonderful to see this family every year for a family photo session.  This year we did it a little later and opted for a Winter Snow session.  We lucked out with a beautiful winter day and spent some fun playing at St. Vital Park.

30 years together {Winnipeg family photographer}

On Boxing Day I met this family at Assiniboine Park to do a family photo shoot.  Their children had purchased a gift certificate for them to celebrate their 30th Wedding Anniversary this summer.  Over the holidays they were all together in Winnipeg so they decided to brave the cold and do a winter photo session.  Luckily it wasn’t too terribly cold so with a couple of warm up breaks in our cars we were able to get some beautiful shots in Winnipeg’s Winter Wonderland.

Last month I had the chance to do something a little different from the usual for me.  I had a great time with S playing around a little with some different light and processing and S had a fun time playing around with some beautiful ballet poses.  I love how these turned out.

Family Session in the Ruins {Winnipeg family photographer}

I love meeting up with this family.  I met Kari a few years ago as I was starting my business and was in search of some props as she is the owner of Snugglywunkins right here in Winnipeg.    She makes beautiful hats, headbands, ties, etc… for children.  I was honoured that she asked me to take pictures of her family back then and this is the third year I have had the pleasure of photographing her family.  We decided to do this years session at the Ruins in St. Norbert.  We had a beautiful Fall evening, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.  Their children are fantastic to work with and I left the session feeling very special after receiving so many hugs!

A Sister is a Forever Friend {Winnipeg Child Photographer}

My last session of 2012 was another fun outdoor session. We had a beautiful sunny afternoon out at the park with 2 beautiful girls and their dog Fernie.  It was a great time hanging out with D and T  – they were such troopers braving the bright crsip afternoon for pictures in the snow.  The only one that wasn’t fazed by the temperature was Fernie who was full of joy bounding through the deep snow.

Season of White {Winnipeg Child Photographer}

 It was  a balmy -11 the other afternoon so my daughter and her friend decided they would like to have their pictures done outside.  It was beautiful with the ground covered in fresh snow which seems to be happening on an almost daily basis this winter.  I don’t get the opportunity to venture out too much for outdoor sessions during the winter months so I was excited for the chance to do something a little different.  As long as you build in some warm up breaks an outdoor photo session is actually a lot of fun!
