Baby L {Winnipeg Newborn Photographer}

I spent the day with M and T and their new baby boy L.  I met this couple a few months ago when they contacted me to do maternity pictures for them.  I really enjoyed their enthusiasm and great ideas during the maternity shoot and got to try out a couple of different ideas during the newborn shoot as well.  Little L was not quite as enthusiastic about having his portraits done and really wasn’t all that  interested in making it too easy for any of us.  He did settle down and I’m so glad he did because once he was asleep he basically let us mold and manipulate him in to some very interesting poses. I hope you enjoy your first peek in to your session.

Fairy Party {Winnipeg Photographer}

Today we threw a birthday party for our youngest daughter who was turning 4.  Hard to believe that 4 years have already passed!  She is a real girly girl and loves to play dressup and wear jewellery and make-up.  As I was searching the internet for ideas for her party I came across a great website and decided to book a party with them.  Through the years with my other girls I have always opted to do the whole thing myself — decorating, activities, crafts, and letting them pick out a cake which I would make and decorate for them.  Although I love the creativity this allows me — it does take away from the chance to enjoy the party.  I found I was always running around getting the next thing ready and cleaning up, etc… and didn’t really have alot of time to just enjoy the moment and take some photos!

So,this year I found “Dress Up and Play” and just knew this was the way to go.  I highly recommend this for your kids next party.  You can check out her website here www.dressupandplayparties.com

Cindy came and decorated, brought great crafts and dress up costumes for the girls and even brought the cake.  We made fairy crowns, fairy houses, went on a fairy hunt and played fairy games.  The girls had a great time.

Here are a few images from our day…
